One of the objectives of the Royal Collections Gallery is to have a website that is accessible to all citizens.
The accessibility of a website consists of guaranteeing access to the information and services of its pages without any limitation or restriction due to any kind of disability or technical conditioning factors, taking into account that many people who access the information included on web pages do so from different devices and contexts.
With the aim of helping and facilitating access to information, web pages must comply with a series of guidelines and recommendations indicated by the WAI (Web Accessibility Initiative) working group, which is part of the W3C consortium (World Wide Web Consortium). Such guidelines form a de facto standard for web page accessibility.
WAI establishes three levels of verification or adequacy: level 1 (A), level 2 (AA) and level 3 (AAA). The websites of the bodies belonging to the General State Administration must comply with the first two levels of adequacy (AA), thus ensuring that the majority of users will be able to access the information published.
In the design of the content templates used in the creation of the pages of the Royal Collections Gallery Portal website, the WAI 1.0 Accessibility Guidelines have been respected at level AA. This website aims to be accessible to all on equal terms, however, if you encounter any difficulties or wish to make any comments or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact us through the contact section.
The accessibility policy applied is aligned with the requirements of Royal Decree 1494/2007, of 12 November, which approves the Regulation on the basic conditions for the access of people with disabilities to technologies, products and services related to the information society and social media.
