Series Title

In the Footsteps of Don Quixote

Fascination with the figure of the most universal Spaniard, Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, his life, his characters, and his most iconic work, the Ingenious Hidalgo Don Quixote De La Mancha, has generated
numerous important paintings, tapestries and other fine art works throughout history. Since its onset, photography has also paid tribute to this legend. Around 150 photos of the Royal Photographic Collection make up an evocative body of work that encompasses the places and memories that marked his life, such as important representations of architectural design, statuary, pictorial representation, and the most exquisite examples of Spanish tapestries.
