Website launch of the Royal Collections Gallery

One week before opening its doors on 29th June, the Royal Collections Gallery has launched its new website: www.galeriadelascoleccionesreales.es. In addition to discovering all the secrets of this museum managed by Patrimonio Nacional, the website makes it easy for visitors to purchase tickets in advance, as well as to register for the open days which are free of cost, and which will be held by the institution to celebrate its opening.

The Gallery's website also provides visitors with practical information to organise their visit, as well as explore the works exhibited in this building designed by Tuñón and Mansilla. A comprehensive timeline provides details of the objects, such as the reigning monarch at the time when they were acquired or commissioned. A journey through the collections of the Spanish Royal Court.

This fully accessible website also includes a calendar of activities, accessibility resources, and downloadable information in several languages. It also has a practical search engine where users can filter searches by collections, monarchs, artists and Royal Sites, thus facilitating queries.

Countdown to the opening

The Royal Collections Gallery opens with four open days, on 29th June and 5th, 6th and 7th July. On 3rd July, the Gallery will host the meeting of the EU College of Commissioners to mark the start of the Spanish Presidency of the European Union, a unique opportunity to promote this new space in Europe.

From 8th July onwards, the Gallery will be open to the public from 10am to 8pm from Monday to Saturday, and from 10am to 7pm on Sundays and bank holidays. Admission will be free 6pm to 8pm from Monday to Thursday. Tickets may be bought online, or in person at the ticket offices of the Gallery once it opens its doors to the public.
